6 month attachment to Bochum, Germany in 2001 where I worked at Klaus Steilmann Institute. Went travelling every weekend. :P But days from Summer to Winter just got darker and darker. I did manage to go one round around Europe before I got dragged back to school. ;)

Where I cook, where I sleep, where I study, where I stone. This is a little University town with ample amenities of all sorts. Our attachment University is Facchochschule, pronounced "far-hoe-shu-ler". Changed: 02/02/11

This is the place where I work in Lyrenstrasse, Bochum. Essentially a spinoff from the textile empire built by Klaus Steilmann, KSI focuses on fields like wearable computing. In the last month, we were transferred to the Steilmann Gruppe in Wattenscheid to assist in a massive database migration exercise. Had free breakfast and lunch.. mwahahaha.. Changed: 11/25/04

Think this could be the largest outdoor party in Europe! It covers almost half the size of Singapore, and lasts for 3 entire days non-stop! Features bikini-clad party girls <---- this would attract many clicks I'm sure.. and lots of zany costumes.. a bunch of walking condoms even came up to me shaking hands...

Recommended by our senior Daohui as a beautiful town. Errmm... errmm... its a quiet little typical town, with its little mountain where we happily ventured without wondering what would happen if we got lost inside without a map after sunset. =b

One of the most enjoyable trips. Rented a bike, ambitiously wanted to cycle up the damn valley but stopped when the sun started to set and weather turned cold. We only managed to cycle thru a few towns and villages, and tried the chicken and duck talk when finding a guest house, especially when none could speak English there.
Took train from Trier to Cochem, on bike to Zell, on boat to Traben Trabach and back to Cochem via train.

Peter stays near Markstrasse. Went to his hostel where he personally made dinner for us. His first time with that dish, he claimed. :P Changed: 10/18/09
